Job overview

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Educational Psychologist to work as an ‘in-house’ Educational Psychologist across the College. The role will involve: observation and support of pupils; regularly assessing pupils and completing formal reports; carrying out therapeutic 1:1 work with pupils; liaising with staff, parents, pupils, and external professionals; supporting pupils with SEMH concerns and liaising with relevant staff; carrying out DSA paperwork, as necessary; and offering INSET training to teachers and workshops for parents; helping to raise the awareness, understanding, and inclusion of pupils and others in the community who are neurodiverse.

The successful applicant will have current HCPC accreditation and keep up to date with relevant research, CPD, and issues in Educational Psychology in accordance with HCPC standards.

Whilst this is a non-teaching role, applications from teachers who meet the role requirements will be welcomed. Candidates would have the opportunity to contribute to co-curricular and/or tutoring programmes at the College if they so wished.

This is a cross-College role for a suitable candidate, i.e., working across our Pre-Preparatory, Preparatory, and Upper School.

We are looking for someone who has excellent communication skills; can build strong relationships with pupils and staff; is flexible, self-motivated, and enthusiastic; and who is able to work collaboratively as part of a team.

This is a full time but part-time applications will be considered (0.6 contract minimum) permanent role.

In both the Prep and Upper School, the Learning Support Department comprises the Head of Learning Support, an Educational Psychologist, a Senior Administrator, and a number of teaching staff.
