We are seeking a qualified and experienced Educational Psychologist to join our team for August 2019.

About the School

Established since 1972, Dover Court International School in Singapore is one of the leading inclusive British international schools in South East Asia.

The school caters to students from age 3 to age 18. The curriculum is based upon the UK EYFS framework, the National Curriculum for England, the IPC, IGCSE/GCSE and the IB Diploma Programme. The school is active in the local International School sports league and are extremely competitive across a number of sports. The school has an extensive programme of residential trips starting in Year 4 and continuing up into the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award. All students are involved in a wide range of after school activities mainly run by teaching staff. About 10% of our students are supported by our integrated SEN unit. As well as an Educational Psychologist we employ an Occupational Therapist, a Physiotherapist and Speech and Language Therapists to support our children's development.

About the Role

You will provide consultation and support services to teachers, admissions and inclusion staff to support the development of children’s learning. You will  work closely with SENCOs across the primary and secondary schools, to provide targeted intervention services and ensure they are delivered to the highest standards. You will lead the assessment of new students and those referred to the service and develop curriculum programmes alongside the school’s counsellor that support children’s personal, social and emotional development. You will share our commitment to integrated working, delivering solutions to our students, staff and families.

  • You will be HCPC registered
  • You will be a reflective practitioner who can bring a broad range of psychological skills and thinking to bear on the problems we face professionally
  • You will be a good team player and make regular contributions to service development
  • You will be able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills
  • You will be a highly competent communicator

All applicants must have a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils. And the willingness to undertake appropriate child protection training when required. A Criminal Background Check will be needed form your home country and any countries lived in over the last 10 year.
