The Cambridge Meridian Academies Trust is looking to appoint an EduTech enthusiast to join our support team. 

Working as part of a dedicated Core IT services team, you will lead the training and development of our education technologies ensuring our facilities are at the cutting edge of technology within the classroom and that our teaching staff are enthused and proficient with using them. You will work with technical experts and educational leaders to streamline the use of technology within the classroom.  

We have invested heavily in our Office 365 platform, with 1:1 devices now in place throughout the upper phases in key stage 2 and developing into KS3, KS4 and KS5. 

CMAT students are privileged to have a group of eager staff champions throughout our family of schools who are daily experimenting and piloting new technology ideas within their teaching spaces. Leading this group of EduTech enthusiasts throughout our curriculum spectrum, you will:

- Ensure the results of these experiments are shared between our schools, widen and encourage other schools to develop the champion network

- Support and provide training opportunities for all staff in the use of technology to improve their teaching practices and enhance the learning experience for students across all key stages

- Coordinate the CPD delivery of the Microsoft Education Community for IT champions across the trust

This role would suit an enthusiastic teacher or someone with a passion for learning to enhance the use of technology within the learning environment across our schools. 

The EduTech training and development manager is a new post at CMAT and you will be an integral part of shaping the vision and digital journey for the trust. 

The job is based within the CMAT offices at Sawtry however you will also be expected to have a full clean driving license so you can travel to our other academies and customer sites.

This job description will be reviewed regularly and may be amended according to changing requirements, as agreed between the post holder and the IT Director.


The post holder will have a shared responsibility for the safeguarding of all children and young people.  The post holder also has an implicit duty to promote the welfare of all children and young people. It is a requirement of the role to work within the school’s financial regulations. The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share in this commitment. All staff will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
