Beckmead Family of Schools was rated Outstanding by Ofsted in January 2017.  The Family of Schools is an expanding learning and nurturing community for young people with Educational Health Care Plans that is based over a number of sites.  Opening in September the new Beckmead College and Alverston Gardens, will offer a variety of learning and vocational pathways for up to 100 KS4 and KS5 students with SEMH, ASD and related behavioural difficulties. The Monks Orchard Road site will cater for 54 SEMH KS2-3 boys and 30 KS3-4 boys who have ASD and related behavioural difficulties. The Morland Road site, Chaffinch Brook is for 36 ASD/SCD KS1-2 pupils who present with challenging behaviour. Bramley Bank includes Rainbow class at Aerodrome Primary and a short stay school that provides places for children referred from mainstream schools due to behavioural issues. The Beckmead Family of Schools is under the overall leadership of the Executive Head Teacher Dr Jonty Clark OBE.

We are seeking to appoint an EHCP and Admin Officer to join our outstanding staff team at Beckmead College to work full-time at our exciting new facility from September 2017.  This role will be a key position within the College and the successful candidate will be responsible for successful review of all EHCPs on an annual basis and will have specialist knowledge around SEN and the legalities around EHCPs.  The role will also support with the administrative processes for the College including the administration of exams.  Applicants must be flexible, have excellent computer and customer service skills. A team worker, the successful candidate will also be confident working alone under pressure and fully able to meet statutory deadlines.  Previous school experience would be advantageous although not essential. Excellent organisational skills and a cheery and friendly manner are key qualities for this role.
