An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and talented individual who is looking to undertake an electrical engineering apprenticeship. This advanced apprenticeship in electrotechnical services will provide the apprentice with the skills, knowledge and experience to work competently within the electrical industry whilst working towards the industry standard qualification.

The rate of pay will increase over the course of the apprenticeship.
How long does the Apprenticeship take to complete?
Starting in January 2019, the apprenticeship may take between 24 and 60 months to complete and will involve attending college weekly during term-time.
The hours of work are five full days per week (inclusive of the day release to college) between Monday and Saturday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, all year-round. The electrical apprenticeship is one of the longest construction apprenticeships. It is therefore essential that the successful person is able to fully commit to the full length of the apprenticeship. Applications are welcome from those who are part-qualified or have relevant experience on entry.
How will the Apprenticeship be assessed?
Regular visits by a training advisor will carry out reviews in conjunction with the apprentice developing a portfolio of evidence of work that they carry out within the workplace to demonstrate competence and understanding. During the apprenticeship, there are some modules that required an exam. At the end of the programme, there will be an external AM2 competency test.
What will the Apprenticeship lead to?
After successful completion of this Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification; the apprentice will be fully qualified and equipped with the necessary skills, knowledge and experience to work in this sector.
During the apprenticeship, the successful applicant is welcome to apply for any vacancies that arise.
Applicants must be aged 16 or over and have good communication, interpersonal and computer skills. It is essential that applicants have a good level of education (A*-C grade GCSE's in Maths and English, or equivalent). Shortlisted applicants will be required to undertake an interview and basic skills assessment with the college in addition to an interview with us.
