Dipont Huayao Collegiate School Kunshan seeks to appoint an Elementary School Assistant Principal to join its diverse, enthusiastic and highly supportive community of teachers, working in a beautifully appointed and state of the art campus.
Reporting to and working in close collaboration with the Elementary School Principal, the Assistant Elementary School Principal will be an exceptional motivator, have a finely tuned capacity for diplomacy and cross-cultural empathy, and be highly competent in monitoring and evaluating teams and individuals.
About the Role
The successful applicant will support the Elementary School Principal in the leadership and management of all facets of the Elementary school. The Elementary School Assistant Principal will work closely with colleagues across all departments to ensure that the learning experience for all pupils is developed in its broadest sense, forging strong links between the academic, co-curricular and boarding lives of the school.

- Significant school leadership experience.
- Excellent professional presence and sound people skills.
- A passion for education and an ability to innovate and inspire.
- Sound knowledge of the UK educational system.
- An ability to relate well to other cultures.
- Ability to provide clear, concise reporting both written and verbal.
- Previous experience of working overseas, particularly in an Asian cultural setting. (desirable)

This is Dipont’s third independent school project, following the successful establishment of RDFZ King’s College School Hangzhou and Nanwai King’s College School Wuxi. The campus in Kunshan is nearing completion and, at capacity, will provide an outstanding learning environment for 2,800 scholars and feature state-of-the-art laboratories, a performing arts center with an 800 seat theater and first-class sports complexes.
The school is enrolling students for September 2020 and opening up a range of teaching positions from preschool to 10th grade. By 2022, the school will grow into a full upper school through 12th grade, offering AP classes and advanced specialized electives in all subject areas over the following two years.
The campus consists of:
• A preschool for children aged 2 to 6
• An elementary school for grades 1 to 5
• A middle school for grades 6 to 8
• An upper school for grades 9 to 12
