Elementary School Principal

International School Debrecen seeks an inspirational and entrepreneurial Elementary School Principal to launch together with the School Director the School and the Elementary Division in particular. Opening in September 2019, in a state-of the-art facility, as a co-educational day school for students aged 3-18 years, this exciting new venture will bring the ethos of rigorous child focused education, extra-curricular excellence and outstanding pastoral care to the historic city of Debrecen.

The school is an initiative of local and national government.
This is a unique opportunity to establish and shape the development of a school which aims to become a leading educational institution. Under the leadership and educational expertise of the Director, the Principal will help to establish ISD as a thriving learning community offering the PYP and as a member of the Senior Leadership Team will support the development of the IB Continuum culminating in the IB Diploma.

The successful candidate will combine a track record of highly successful leadership experience, developed internationally, with the cultural awareness, and global perspective to inspire the ISD community and external stakeholders.
A strong PYP background coupled with first-class team player characteristics and communication skills are crucial, as is the commercial drive to help establish this new venture. A genuine resonance with IB’s educational values and a commitment to embedding these in the school is essential.
