We work to ensure that our students embrace a positive school environment to become self-confident, independent learners for life.  With the aim that each will fulfil their personal potential to gain the qualifications and skills they need to be socially and economically independent in their local community.

We are looking for an Employability Development worker to support the building of a portfolio of businesses and to work with the companies that are hosting the placements to negate stigma and barriers associated to disabilities.  The aim being to ensure that each young person has the best opportunities to gain from the placement experience.

Manage a caseload of students providing an individually supporting them transfer skills and abilities as they move into a sustained employment or training outcome (aged 15-19).

Provide practical support to young people to broker positive outcomes e.g. helping young people complete application forms, accompanying a young person to an interview, working alongside a young person for the first few days in placement.

Work with ‘next Steps’ stakeholders who have offered apprenticeship / internship placements to young people from Stepping Stones Post 16. Ensure that young people receive the aftercare support they need to maintain the placement including mentoring retention support where appropriate
