The ideal candidate is forward-thinking, aware of the changing needs of the workplace and keen to ensure that we fully prepare our students for the demands of the 21st century. The ability to work with young adults of all abilities is essential and the successful applicant must have excellent one-to-one guidance and group work skills. The candidate must be proactive in forging wide links with universities, professional associations, and businesses.
The role requires strong IT skills and a familiarity with careers software would be an advantage. The ability to engage creatively with young people in both group interactions and guidance interviews is essential.
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level and possess a Level 6 careers guidance qualification.
The post would suit a person who is keen to make a difference in the aspirations and achievements of our young people.
