To engage Engineering and Manufacturing employers with Hopwood Hall employer responsive provision (Apprenticeships). Provide key account management to Engineering and Manufacturing sector of all sizes and maintain professional and positive active relationships to deliver employer responsive apprenticeship targets. Actively identify employer skill gaps and provide solutions and recommendations to meet their business need and contribute to business growth.
Apprenticeships and funding are continually developing and the rate of change is unlikely to slow down. You must therefore be flexible to take on changing responsibilities
Generate and Develop Employer Relationships, undertaking a proactive consultative selling approach by identifying training and employment needs, making recommendations and creating action plans to support to employer training needs.
Manage customer relationships with employers, in line with the sector / industry maintaining an up to date knowledge of sector developments.
Assist in the design and delivery packages to meet employer needs, providing costs and negotiating pricing structures and schedules in line with College apprenticeship costing models.
Provide ongoing employer support, review and training evaluation for employers to identify individual employee progress on apprenticeship training and business impact.
Ensure apprenticeship quality standards are met by maintaining structured feedback from employers and undertake market research and customer satisfaction research.
To identify and develop new opportunities from external and internal business developments, and initiatives to meet apprenticeship specific income targets and cross college ER targets.
Organise and attend internal and external promotional events, conventions, roadshows, exhibitions, school/college liaison activities and network with key local business partners and partnership forums
Ensure the Customer Relationship Management (pro engage) is regularly updated with all relevant employer information in line with college procedures.
Develop positive internal relationships and improve communication channels with curriculum teams, in order to stimulate contributions, and maximise cross-selling of the College’s full range of services to all stakeholders (Employers and Learners).
Undertake Health & Safety Appraisals for the premises of employers working with Training@Hopwood following the guidance and supervisory training of the College’s Health, Safety and Manager.
Ensure agreed customer service standards are achieved and the desired image and identity of the College are upheld at all times.
Develop positive internal relationships and improve communication channels with curriculum teams and Work Base Tutors to ensure that prospective clients at all levels are ‘serviced’ effectively.
Remain knowledgeable about the evolving Apprenticeship funding in order to advise both Levy and non-Levy employers of the benefits to their business of Apprenticeship and ER training opportunities
Manage employer accounts by overseeing the full engagement process from apprenticeship placement to delivery and achieve and learner recruitment targets.
Generate engineering apprenticeship vacancies and source interview, screen and provide Advice and guidance to potential apprenticeship candidates for dedicated employer accounts.
Carry out other such duties of a similar level of responsibility, as may be required and determined by the Line Manager.

• can identify opportunities and convert them for the benefit of the student, employer and the College;
• are skilled in cross-selling and up-selling;
• have experience of using CRM systems;
• have experience particularly within the engineering and manufacturing sector
• have knowledge of health and safety and risk assessments in the workplace;
• are a car owner with access to a vehicle during working hours, hold a clean driving licence, hold valid business use insurance and have the ability and willingness to travel across the region;
