Creating an inspiring engineering experience for our students
University Technical College South Durham opened in September 2016 and is the first UTC in the North East. With a focus on advanced manufacturing and engineering it is located in the heart of Aycliffe Business Park, County Durham. We provide an outstanding education for 14-19 year olds, encompassing real, relevant workplace experience in partnership with world-class companies and are currently over subscribed for 2017/18.
The chance to create an innovative education establishment is very rare and this is an exciting opportunity to join us early in our development; designing and delivering a very different educational experience for our students. As a key member of a small team you will help shape the Engineering and Technology curriculum areas, set high expectations and inspire our students through making the subject relevant to the world of work and use of industry-standard equipment.
You will have a proven track record of high quality Engineering, Manufacturing or Technology training. You will be ready to move into the education sector where you can share your up to date knowledge of manufacturing and engineering processes. Your experience will mean that you are able to build positive relationships with students, staff and parents. You will be able to demonstrate the successful impact of your training in your specialist areas.
