AIS Altea International School, a unique and successful British school in the Costa Blanca, Spain, is looking for a qualified and engaging KS3/KS4 English and Humanities Teacher. AIS follows the British National Curriculum with Steiner Waldorf orientation and Mindfulness.

 KS3/KS4 English and Humanities Subject Teacher and KS3 Class Tutor.

We are looking for an enthusiastic English and Humanities Teacher who resonates with the ethos of our school. This is a full-time position and involves Tutor responsibilities to a KS3 year group, and subject teaching to KS3/KS4 cohorts.


Essential requirements are: 

  • Be a fully qualified teacher with experience of the British National Curriculum. (PGCE or QTS) 
  • Have interest in the Steiner-Waldorf pedagogy and/or other holistic educational approaches. 
  • Have experience in teaching IGCSEs (preferably Edexcel). 
  • Have excellent communication skills and be able to deliver teaching in English confidently. 
  • Be a vital part of a growing teaching team and promote the school to parents and the wider community. 
  • Have a working permit in the EU


Desired requirements are: 

  • Have knowledge and experience of Steiner-Waldorf pedagogy. 
  • Have interest in the incorporation of mindfulness in education. 
  • Have the ability to communicate in Spanish.
