Requirements:

We are looking for a committed, passionate and knowledgeable professional who will work to ensure the academic, social, emotional and spiritual growth of the children in their care.

 

Suitable candidates will:

● Be an inspiring, innovative and high achieving professional

● Be sympathetic to the ethos of our school and supportive of our Lasallian values

● Have recent experience teaching language across the Elementary age range

●   Have had previous experience of leading an EAL department

● Have a proven track record of delivering outstanding teaching for at least two years

● Have an appropriate academic degree and teaching qualification

● Keep abreast of current pedagogy and practice

● Be committed to working in a team environment

● Have excellent interpersonal skills with students, teachers and parents

● Have a genuine commitment to student progress and the wellbeing and pastoral care of children

● Make a contribution to our co-curricular activities

About St. Joseph's Institution International School Malaysia

St. Joseph's Institution (SJII) is a co-educational, Roman Catholic denominational all-through in Selangor, Malaysia. The International Baccalaureate is taught across educational stages. The region of Selangor, also known as the ‘Abode of Sincerity’, is a highly industrialised state based within an accessible distance from the capital Kuala Lumpur. The school does not offer boarding facilities.

This is a De La Salle School, affiliated with the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools. SJII Malaysia is a joint venture between Lasallian Asian Partnerships for International Schools, and Tropicana Corporation Berhad Malaysia. Students are taught from preparatory stage to Grade 12. La Salle schools have a strong tradition in Malaysia, dating back to 1852. Sports facilities on campus include an Indoor Sports Hall, 25m by 15m Swimming Pool, and Basketball Court.
