Job overview
An enthusiastic and experienced English Language and Literature teacher with experience across the whole of the secondary school is required for the academic year 2020/21. This position is ideal for an English teacher with interest and expertise in teaching English as a First and Second Language. The English department has 3 full time teachers and 1 part time teacher. The Head of Department position is open to suitably qualified applicants.
The successful candidate should have a wide range of teaching experience , especially in English as a Second Language and be committed to the integration of all students within mainstream classes. Students sit IGCSE in Year 11 and follow the IBDP in year 12 and 13. All candidates must have a degree in Education or a first degree with a Post Graduate teaching qualification. Native level English fluency is essential.
Experience of teaching students up to the age of 18 is important with preference given to IBDP trained teachers, however , for the right candidate training for IBDP will be provided.

ASCOT INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL is a growing international school in Bangkok, Thailand. Established in 1995, the school school currently has over 400 students on roll from Nursery to year 13 and is an IB World School , offering the IB PYP and Diploma.
