Temporary post, 25 hours per week
Manningtree High School is a rural secondary school with a strong community feel. We are a mixed fully comprehensive school serving the local area and work closely with Primary and Post-16 partners as well as other local secondary schools.
We require the successful candidate to work with students, primarily the more disadvantaged, who are working below their target levels. This could be on a one-to-one basis, in class or with small groups helping identify and improve areas of weakness in students’ English skills. Many of the students will be from comparatively less affluent backgrounds (PPG students) and boys in an attempt to close the gap in performance of these groups of students from the overall cohort.
We would be delighted to hear from you if you are enthusiastic and feel that you can make a positive contribution to our future successes.
Manningtree High School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants for positions at our school must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
Please contact Carol Sinclair as soon as possible to arrange a visit or for more information.
