Our German-English Phorms Campus Berlin Süd is conveniently located in green Steglitz-Zehlendorf. A total of 500 children and young people learn and grow together under one roof in the nursery, primary school and secondary school. Our bilingual concept is based on the immersion method from nursery to secondary school. The heritage-protected campus with its spacious outdoor grounds offers our international and dynamic community a learning and living space that is characterised above all by its family-like atmosphere.

Phorms Berlin Süd is part of the Phorms Education SE network of bilingual schools and nurseries, that has been enriching the educational landscape in Germany since 2006.

Your Responsibilites

  • Holistic support of our children in the cognitive, emotional, and creative areas
  • Teaching children in a playful way in order to support them in their development to become independent and social individuals
  • Preparation and follow-up as well as implementation of parent meetings
  • Supervising and monitoring the development of students, recording language learning and reporting on progress


Your Profile

  • A background in childcare (e.g. vocational training, a study degree or work experience in the field of childcare)
  • A profound knowledge and understanding of child protection obligations
  • Interested in the early-childhood area of education, and ideally with experience already working within the sector
  • An open-minded and caring personality with a passion for working with young children
  • Motivation to work in a multidisciplinary team and enjoy developing different learning methods
  • Fluent English skills

About Phorms Campus Berlin

The Phorms network includes seven German-English bilingual nurseries, primary and secondary schools as well as the Heidelberg International School (H.I.S.). Our independently managed schools and nurseries are located in Berlin, Erlenbach, Frankfurt am Main, Hamburg and Munich.

Our campus in Berlin Mitte and our campus in Berlin Steglitz-Zehlendorf includes three institutions under one roof. From nursery and primary to secondary the students are taught both in German & English using the immersion method.

Phorms Berlin gemeinnützige GmbH was founded in 2006 and is located in an attractive red-brick building in central Berlin. This is where we celebrated our 10th birthday in summer 2016. We are thus the oldest and largest of all Phorms schools.

Bilingualism is key to the Phorms concept. Our secondary school continues the bilingual concept introduced in nursery and primary school. Teaching takes place at native speaker level in German and English. Yet, our curriculum is based on the outline curriculum of the federal state of Berlin.

We teach children and young people to understand the world in all its cultural and linguistic diversity, local characteristics and global contexts. We allow each child to be different. We foster individual talents and interests to enable our students to remain self-confident and inquisitive. We are a community. We learn together and show one another respect and do so within a whole-day school environment.

We provide age-homogeneous groups for children aged 1 upwards. Depending on the age of the children, each group is looked after by two or three childcare specialists, including at least one person who speaks German and one person who’s native language is English. This enables the children to learn both languages within a natural environment.

Alongside the importance we attach to bilingualism, sport and music are also particular focuses of the work we do. Exclusively for the nursery school we have a large and excellently equipped gymnasium in which we hold regular sports sessions with the students as well as providing them with a chance to develop their motor skills. Everyday life in the day care centre is also determined by music to a considerable extent. We hold a morning singing circle and play on our vast collection of musical instruments on other fixed occasions.
