Job overview

As a Teacher at  Broadbeck Learning Centre, you'll get to deliver the kind of education you always wanted to. You will have superb leadership, specialist support and state-of-the-art-facilities, allowing you to focus on delivering the National Curriculum to a group of primary and secondary aged pupils in a memorable way. Committed to fulfilling the potential of each and every one of our students, no matter what their educational needs (including social, emotional and mental health difficulties, autistic spectrum conditions and speech and language communication difficulties), you share our belief that all young people are capable of achieving great things.

We are interested in hearing from superb classroom practitioners. Those who take the National Curriculum and bring it alive in a way that’s meaningful and engaging to our students. You will have experience of dealing with students who have complex education needs.  You will connect with our students – understanding what makes them unique and working to make a real difference to their social and emotional development.

Broadbeck is an integrated therapeutic provision designed to provide care, education and therapy to 14 individual learners.  Our success is driven through our 3 core principles:

  • Success for Learners by any means: We design and adapt so that success for young people is non-negotiable.
  • Precise Inclusion: We listen to our learners, seeking to understand their journey and any difficulties in their lives that make engagement a challenge.
  • Starting at Great: For our learners there is no good enough, we are committed to being exceptional in every respect.

For children and young people with complex, challenging needs, the level of care and education must go above and beyond.  Witherslack Group is the leading provider of specialist education and care for children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs, communication difficulties, complex learning needs and challenging behaviours.  We have a reputation for excellence and of achieving the highest possible outcomes. In short, we enhance life opportunities.

Reward

You will be rewarded for your hard work and commitment with a salary and benefits package that is among the best in our sector. You will receive a competitive salary, teacher’s pension, comprehensive induction and ongoing training.  Witherslack Group also offers extensive staff benefits such as Medicash Health Plan/Employee Assistance, Cycle to Work and tax free childcare vouchers.
