Head's Welcome
Every child deserves success and the opportunity to be the very best version of themselves.
It is this belief that is at the heart of Roundwood School. We aim to provide a caring, nurturing environment where children can re-discover themselves and grow to understand what they are capable of.
Our values are at the core of everything we do:
- LOVE
- FLOURISHING
- SOCIAL JUSTICE
- COMMUNITY
We recognise that children come to us from challenging circumstances. Often deeply personal, these circumstances can result in a breakdown in education. With that in mind, we have a unique relationship with Unlocking Potential, a charity that funds a multi-disciplinary team, working with a holistic understanding of social, emotional and mental health needs. Together, we are able to provide a therapeutic approach to support and nurture our children in a non-judgmental environment. We see their individuality and support them to rebuild their schooling according to their needs.
Our aim is to give them strength for the future and to ensure they always have hope. Our mission is to ensure children find their path in life and that, when they leave us, they will be able to lead happy and fulfilling lives. They will be part of a community that will be stronger because of them and their involvement. We want all our students to have a sense of belonging.
We are extremely proud of our children and our school and we look forward to working with you to ensure that the children of Brent are given the very best opportunity to succeed. We are a new school with a strong desire to work closely with education, community and third sector partners across the Borough and beyond.
Please do contact me with any questions or ideas for the future; we are open and responsive and we know that by working together, we are far greater than the sum of our parts.
With best wishes,
Nagla Salama
