Inscape House School is a non-maintained ASC specialist day school for children and young people aged 5 to 19 years. It is part of the Together Trust, a charity that has been providing care, education and support in the North West of England since 1870. The post holder will be a member of the Inscape House School and Post 16 provision on the Cheadle campus.

We are looking for an English Teacher to join our upper school.

As an English teacher…

You will join our passionate team as a qualified teacher, promoting outstanding progress and outcomes for students academically and socially.

With an understanding of students’ needs, relevant teaching strategies and core curriculum subject, you will plan and teach lessons with a clear understanding of your relevant subject area, promoting a love of learning and curiosity and developing students’ skills and knowledge.

Within your relevant subject area, you will contribute to the design of an engaging curriculum, know and understand assessment requirements and demonstrate an interest in the enhanced curriculum subjects.

About you…

You will teach the Entry Level, Functional Skills and GCSE English syllabi to students in Key Stage 4 and 5

You will have qualified teacher status (QTS) or qualified teacher learning and skills (QTLS) and experience of working with children with autism and associated conditions including sensory processing difficulties and mental health.

You will be committed to the ethos of Inscape House School and the positive values of Together Trust. As an excellent communicator, you will be able to work well with students, parents and carers and collaboratively with colleagues within a staff team.
