Do you love teaching? The outdoors? Animals? Do you want to have the autonomy to create fun, exciting and engaging lessons for Autistic children? The Greater Horseshoe School is looking for innovative thinkers who can create new and encapsulating ways of teaching the curriculum to our students.

We are looking for a creative, active and open-minded English Teacher to join our family feel team. You must have a keen interest in encouraging and inspiring even the most challenging of minds and behaviours. We are looking for candidates, who want to get involved, have their ideas heard, aren’t afraid of getting dirty on the farm or in workshops and who are resilient, active and caring.

Previous experience with Special Educational Needs (SEN) isn’t essential but it is preferred. If you have no experience, please research Autism and the challenges it presents. We are looking for qualified teachers for this position and those with specific core subject experience would be preferred.

The Greater Horseshoe School is a relatively new, large site surrounded by trees and flanked by a tranquil river and farmland. We have grown rapidly to support young people, aged 7-18.  Each child has individual needs based on communication and sensory challenges, which are associated with autism and we support them using a bespoke curriculum and the THRIVE approach.

The established staff team come from a variety of previous occupations and have individual skills, which can be utilised, within this school. So, if you have an interest and/or qualifications in animal care, horticulture, construction, outdoor education, forestry or any other specific trade or hobby, we would love to hear from you!
