English Teacher (part-time) Years 1 to 3 – September 2018
Hampton Court House is a fast-growing co-educational independent school situated in beautiful riverside parkland between Richmond and Hampton in southwest London.
Hampton Court House has 240 pupils from Nursery through to Year 13.
We seek a part-time English teacher for Years 1 – 3. The successful candidate must be a self-aware individual with outstanding interpersonal skills, and able to inspire our boys and girls with a lifelong love of English literature and language.
We are looking for a well-qualified graduate. Applications are equally welcome from teachers with some years’ experience and from new entrants to the profession. All our teachers are expected to contribute enthusiastically to the wider life of the school.
The candidate must have excellent spoken English and a secure command of English grammar (which will be assessed at interview); further it is essential that the candidate be knowledgeable about children’s literature (including ‘the classics’).
