English Teacher - Maternity Cover

We are looking for an experienced teacher of English to cover the maternity leave of our Lead Practitioner of English from the 25th November 2019. The post is fixed term and will cease on her return, which is likely to be near the end of the summer term.

We are a new, sponsored academy and part of The Bay Learning Trust. The English Faculty substantially improved their outcomes last year and is a large, popular department in the school, recruiting well at A-Level.

Morecambe is an area of significant coastal deprivation, with approximately 35% Pupil premium students; a population with a prior attainment just below the national average, and a small population of EAL students. These young people need excellent role models and leaders willing to engage with the local culture in which they live.
