Priory Lodge School are looking for an outstanding teacher of English to teach across KS3, 4 and 5. We're looking for an extraordinary candidate that can deliver lessons that inspire our learners to succeed in order to achieve the best possible outcomes. Your drive for continuous improvement will be exceptional.
This is a fixed term contract until 1st November 2020 to cover maternity leave.
The successful candidate will be expected to lead Literacy across the school encouraging other staff to promote literacy across the curriculum. Extra curricular activities linked to the curriculum will also be an expectation of the role. You will have the opportunity to shape the English curriculum (in line with The National Curriculum) as you feel would best suit the needs of our pupils.
It is also essential that you have a good knowledge of GCSE requirements and a track record of excellent pupil attainment. Some experience of teaching pupils with special needs would be desirable.
The Priory Lodge School is a school for young people aged 7-19 with mild to moderate autistic spectrum disorders, Asperger’s Syndrome and associated learning difficulties. For all roles we require a minimum of two references. References provided must cover the last 3 years, for all of our services we will need to request all references from where you have worked with either Children or Vulnerable Adults.
