Qatar International School is a 3-18 international school that operates a British system of Education based on the National Curriculum of England and Wales.

The Location 

Doha is the capital city and central focus of Qatar. The city has a large proportion of expats and as a result is extremely diverse. Qatar offers a warm, sunny climate throughout the year. Expats can visit the souqs for spices and traditional clothing, enjoy local food and drinks in the streets. There are various modern malls throughout the city. There are also many modern areas in Doha to visit in the evenings including international restaurants offering excellent food.

Our English Department

Our English department is characterised by a strong ethos of team work and collaboration. We are an enthusiastic and committed team of 11 staff members, who teach across the Key Stages, both English Language and English Literature.

We strive to ensure that all students receive a holistic experience in their English lessons, with an emphasis on creativity and innovation to foster both enjoyment and passion for the subject.

Our vision is to ensure outstanding pupil progress across the Key Stages. This has led to excellent results in English. In fact, our students have achieved some of the highest grades in the region and in the world for their Edexcel IGCSEs and International A Levels, both in Language and Literature.

The post requires all successful applicants to have recent experience of delivering the National Curriculum in the British System, preferably with a minimum of two years.

As a BSO accredited school we can accept applications from outstanding newly-qualified teachers (NQTs), whom we can support through to QTS sign-off.

Salary

The Package

Tax free -Teaching salary paid in Qatari Riyals.
This equates to a yearly tax-free salary dependent on exchange rate and teaching experience.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must be UK qualified teachers with a relevant teaching qualification including QTS.
The school can consider applications from strong Newly Qualified Teachers
