Slough and Eton is looking for a great teacher to join our English department in September. We have an excellent subject leader and a great mix of experienced and recently qualified or training staff in the team. English is a successful subject at Key Stage 4 and 5 and this is a new post arising from the growth and development of our school.
The department is in a dedicated English area and benefits from access to the latest Clevertouch interactive technology. The new member of this team needs to be a qualified English teacher with a love of English and reading. If that’s you then you will need to be hardworking, dedicated to ensuring students of all abilities can succeed and, crucially, a great classroom teacher. Previous experience of examination teaching at either KS4 or 5 is essential although there is no requirement to have taught post-16 previously. NQTs are encouraged to apply as this is a great team to develop your teaching skills with.

Slough and Eton is a great school and I am immensely proud to have joined it as Headteacher in September 2017. Pupils and students at Slough and Eton are expected to work extremely hard and are encouraged to achieve their very best in all that they do. We believe in educating the whole child and as such place great importance on the many cultural experiences we provide for pupils and students as well as the academic ones.
As a Church of England school we welcome pupils from all faiths, foster a culture of tolerance and understanding throughout the school and are always delighted to show visitors the fantastic things that happen here.
