Dulwich Prep London is one of the most prestigious preparatory schools in the country, offering day education to around 850 pupils between the ages of 3 and 13. We are looking to recruit an outstanding teacher who has a strong sense of confidence in the classroom and who possesses a flexible, ’can do’ attitude, to join our team. We would welcome applicants who are creative, energetic and who have a willingness to be involved in the extra-curricular life of the School.
The English department is a thriving team with a varied and strong level of expertise. We are looking to appoint an inspirational teacher to work in this intellectually challenging and supportive department. A love of English is essential, as is the willingness to work with colleagues to continue to develop pedagogy.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong subject knowledge and will bring experience of teaching up to Year 8 Common Entrance level and Scholarship level. Previous experience in an independent school is desirable.

This long-established and well-known preparatory school educates boys aged 3 to 13 (girls 3 to 4), preparing them for entrance and scholarship examinations to independent London day schools and boarding schools across the country. Re-branded in 2011, the school aims to challenge boys in their pursuit of excellence and to inspire each pupil to realise his full potential. Sport, Music and Art are encouraged to a high standard. There are many out-of-school activities, including a wide variety of holiday trips.
The main ages for entry are at three, four and seven years, with smaller entries at five and eight. There are occasional vacancies at other ages.
