English Teacher with English Responsibility Lead

Brantwood Specialist School is an exciting and innovative provision which offers full time education to children who have significant/complex social, emotional or educational difficulties. At Brantwood Specialist School students will learn through a dynamic outdoor land and craft-based curriculum, which includes practical skills; textiles, green woodwork, pottery, cooking and blacksmithing with a significant period of time involved in growing biodynamic produce in the school gardens and looking after the farm animals.

We are seeking a Special Education Teacher and leader who specialise in the subject area of Literacy who as part of the school’s middle leadership will take the lead to plan, co-ordinate and quality assure in their given area. This is to ensure that the subject is consistently well planned throughout the school and quality assured on a regular basis. In this role you will be ensuring the pupils engage in learning and achieve by providing practical, experiential and therapeutic education through careful planning of the structure, methodology and delivery of the learning experience.
