Job overview

Aspris Children’s Services (an independent company which was formally Priory Education and Children’s Services) is one of the UK’s leading independent providers of specialist care and education for a reason. We recruit some of the most committed teachers in the sector.

We are seeking an experienced Tutor to provide pastoral care and academic support to our students, with the ability to teach English to GCSE and A Level, including A Level Creative Writing.

Our Tutors provide tuition for small groups of young people, which allows for full engagement and ensures that the programme of learning meets the needs of the individual. With a student centred approach, we are committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment within which young people can flourish.

Candidates should have a passion and commitment for providing creative and high quality learning experiences. With a dynamic and inclusive approach you will have high expectations for our learners and a drive to help them achieve the best possible learning outcomes.

As a skilled practitioner you will have an empathic approach and the ability to be flexible and adapt to individual needs.

Applicants should have a recognised teaching qualification. Experience of working within a SEN environment is desirable and in particular an understanding of ASD. However, we would also welcome applicants who are keen to develop skills within a specialist provision and will provide support and training.

Aspris is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.  All applicants must be willing to undergo safeguarding screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure & Barring Service.

What do you get in return?

  • Being part of a company that invests in you and your team for personal and professional development
  • Reward and discount schemes
  • Pension
  • Enhanced DBS fee paid
  • Access to a holiday package
