THE ROLE
The Estate Bursar is responsible for the leading the strategic management and development of the School Estate and Facilities, aligning them to the School and Building Development Plans to ensure they are developed in an innovative, creative and cost effective way to provide a world-class learning and teaching environment. A proactive and “can-do” attitude, along with drive and determination, is essential for this role.
He/she will have overall responsibility for delivering a professional estate management service within the annual Estate budget as well as having accountability for the planning, management and financial control of capital and small works projects. He /she will ensure high standards of Health and Safety, site security and effective use of resources at all times.
The Estate Bursar will be supported by three departmental managers (Premises, Grounds and Caretaking/Security) in the day-to-day operational management and security of the school buildings and grounds.

RMS is a leading independent girls’ day/boarding School with 940+ pupils aged 2 to 18 and over 300 teaching and support staff, situated on a 200-acre parkland site near Rickmansworth in Hertfordshire. The Royal Masonic School for Girls is an independent school located on a 316-acre site in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire. Providing places to both boarding and day pupils, the school is an all-through institution educating pupils aged 2-18.
Founded in 1789, the school was originally intended for use by the children of Freemasons. It is now non-denominational and has no restrictions on attendance.
