New College Durham Academies Trust (NCDAT) currently comprises Consett Academy and North Durham Academy, two large secondary schools in North West Durham. With a new CEO in place, our journey of improvement is at an exciting stage of change and innovation, particularly in the development of our People.
Working closely with the Estates Manager on a daily basis, the postholder will provide 2nd line support to the team and focus on management and delivery of PPM’s, repairs on site and support compliance with statutory requirements.
The successful candidate will work across the Trust and with our external partners, as required to:
• ensure service desk jobs are implemented in a timely fashion, work carried out in-house is completed to a high standard adhering to statutory compliance requirements;
• ensure PPMs are appropriate and completed in line with best practice and statutory compliance requirements are met in the area of Health and Safety;
• support the Estates Manager in Health and Safety to ensure that all practices and procedures are conducted in a way that meets all the relevant compliance requirements and supports the wellbeing of others;
• support the overall security of the building, including CCTV control and monitoring, Door access Control, Intruder and Fire alarms, and if required to attend the Academy in the event of an out of hours emergency;
• support the monitoring of external contracts and Service Level Agreements, service delivery and performance quality standards.
The successful candidate will hold a relevant technical qualification such as Certification of Electrical Installations or equivalent in another technical field. In addition, you will have excellent ICT, oral and written communication skills and an ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
As a flexible team player, you will enjoy a varied workload, be forward-thinking and have an ability to prioritise a busy workload, in a fast-paced environment.
