We are seeking to appoint an Evening Porter on a full-time basis to join the team. This role provides evening portering support to meet the school’s requirements. The person in this role is part of the general Porters’ team, although you will largely be required to work alone or with one/two other people on the evening shift supporting general school activities. The school currently operates a team of three Evening Porters.
Daily working hours during term-time (between 33 and 34 weeks per year) will be from 5.00pm to 11.00pm, Monday to Friday, with half an hour’s break (30 hours per week). Out of term time, you will work 30 hours per week, but timings may differ to suit the rota.
The ideal candidate will have experience in similar roles, be self-motivated, be able to work productively and courteously with a wide range of students, staff, parents and members of the public, have a sense of humour, be pragmatic and have a communicative attitude.
