The Chiltern Hills Academy invites applications for an exciting opportunity to join the staff of a successful, mixed 11-18 Church of England Academy in the Chiltern Hills, conveniently situated at the end of the London Underground Metropolitan Line.
We are looking to add to our existing team of people who invigilate both external and internal exams. There is some flexibility in the role as examinations take place at various times in the year and during both morning and afternoon sessions.
Applicants need to be reliable, punctual and able to work within a team. You should have an eye for detail and the ability to follow strict procedures and guidelines. The role of the invigilator is an important factor in the smooth running of school examinations and therefore you must be very dependable, trustworthy and highly discrete. Experience of working within a school environment would be preferable but full training will be provided for successful candidates.
We are about to embark on the next stage of our school development to accommodate growing numbers and add to our well-resourced teaching environment. “Leaders know their school well” our OFSTED inspection recognised (February 2017) and further judged the school to be ‘good’ in all categories. “Staff, pupils and parents fully support the headteacher’s vision and would recommend this school to other parents”. “Pupils have embraced the school’s values and ethos. As a result they behave well in lessons and the school is calm and orderly”.
We would be pleased to show prospective applicants around the Academy. Please contact Mrs Mistry (HR Administrator) to arrange a visit. Details of the post are on our website, together with an application form. Completed applications should be submitted to Mrs Jo Mistry, by email firstname.lastname@example.org and should include a l etter indicating your strengths for this position.
Interviews may be held at any stage after applications are received and we reserve the right to close this vacancy once we have found a suitable candidate.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share in this commitment. All staff appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
Closing Date: Midday, Thursday 21 March 2019
Interviews: week commencing Monday 25 March 2019
