“The Victory Academy is GOOD in all areas” - Ofsted October 2017

The Thinking Schools Academy Trust is the best performing Multi Academy Trust for KS4 progress and was Runner up in the TES ‘ Employer of the Year 2018 Awards'

Our growing Academy has an exciting opportunity for Exam Invigilators to support with the busy exam periods. Your presence will maintain the integrity of examinations in an environment that enables a student to perform at their best.

You will assist with setting up of exam venues, checking examination packs, assisting candidates and actively invigilating during examinations. You will be required to check attendance, record relevant details, so good communication, both written and verbal, are essential.  You may be required to scribe/read for students – full training will be provided.

Employment for this position is offered on a casual basis. Hours worked vary between 8.00 am and 5.30 pm. Exam sessions are up to three hours, so invigilation sessions may be up to four hours in some instances. You will be asked to attend a training session where full training for the role will be given.

We are a mixed Comprehensive School for 11-19 year old students of all ability ranges, where everyone works and learns within its caring and supportive environment.

We are privileged to work in a stunning learning environment with excellent resources. The Academy is focused on providing an education for all. Our belief is that each person is unique – every member of our community has gifts and talents that we seek to grow and channel. Our job is to find and foster these for all. We offer a broad and balanced curriculum geared towards ensuring that our students will be dynamic members of society when they leave the Academy.

The Victory Academy was officially opened in September 2015 and is sponsored by The Thinking Schools Academy Trust (TSAT).  View our latest video to gain an insight into The Victory Academy. http://bit.ly/2sWSWMw

What we can offer you:

• Reduced membership of a fully-equipped fitness suite and classes

• Access to a free and confidential employee assistance service, offering wellbeing support and counselling

• Onsite parking free of charge

About The Victory Academy

We are privileged to work in a stunning learning environment with excellent resources. One of our many strengths is having a strong programme of arts education, including a Platinum Artsmark award which is held by less than 1% of schools in England. We are also an accredited Thinking School.

The Victory Academy has strong links with the local community enabling us to draw upon a strong and rich local culture to support the personal development of young people. Naval links feature strongly in our vision for the school, we describe this as the ANT triad; Arts, Naval and Thinking.

We are focused on providing an education for all. Our belief is that each person is unique – every member of our community has gifts and talents that we seek to grow and channel. We offer a broad and balanced curriculum geared towards ensuring that our students will achieve their academic potential regardless of their starting points, and be dynamic members of society when they leave the Academy.
