Job overview

We are looking to recruit exam invigilators for our forthcoming exams including national exam periods during May to June and also internal exams which occur throughout the academic year, including January and March exams. These appointments are offered on a casual basis and, if appointed, you will join a bank of exam invigilators.

This role is essential to the smooth running of the examination process. In addition to ensuring correct exam procedures are followed, the successful applicants will be responsible for the setting out and collecting of exam papers and materials, admitting students to the exam hall/room, invigilating during the exams and collating the exam papers to be sent off to the Exam boards. Duties may include reading and scribing for students during exams.

Please note, there is a possibility driving may be required to invigilate our student exams which are held at local, external locations.

We are an 11-16 academy based in the large, north-east town of Middlesbrough.

The academy received a good judgement in their 2017 Ofsted inspection. However in July 2022 the academy was given a notice to improve judgement. Leadership has significantly changed and a comprehensive improvement plan has been implemented to secure sustainable long term change for the academy.
