Job overview

Frederick Gent School is looking for a number of casual Examination Invigilators to join their existing team.

Applicants will need to be flexible, well-organised, reliable and punctual. No experience is necessary as full training will be given to the successful candidates although prior experience of invigilation or work in a school environment would be desirable.
 

The role may include scribing or reading for students who have qualified for access arrangements because of special educational needs and disabilities.

Thank you for your interest in Frederick Gent School. I am very proud of our Ofsted rated Good school and I will explain why by outlining our vision, values, strengths and priorities below.

As an 11-16 school with 802 pupils, Frederick Gent School is first and foremost a community school. There is a strong sense of community within the school and strong links to the wider community beyond the school gates. This is reflected in the positive feedback in parent view surveys which year-on-year see very high approval ratings. It is also reflected in admission requests that exceed PAN.

As a supportive learning community Frederick Gent is, first and foremost, a great place to work. Students and employees share high expectations of each other and we enjoy good relationships which support very good learning outcomes.

The school’s vision is to create a community compelled to learn, grow and succeed in the widest sense, creating lives that are happy and fulfilled. We place great emphasis on the importance of GCSE examination success for our students’ future life choices, but we are also aware of our duty to prepare young people to go out into the world as good citizens, who are ready and able to make a positive contribution to their communities and the future.
