The Governors are seeking to appoint an Examinations Administrator to oversee the provision of the school’s examinations, both internal and external. Duties are wide-ranging and will include (amongst other duties): ensuring all exam entries are made to deadline, organising exam rooms, timetables etc, adhering to strict examination security protocols. In addition, this post encompasses the supervision of invigilators. A high degree of flexibility is expected in extra working hours according to high demand months of the year, namely May, June, August and September. St Michael’s Catholic Grammar School is a small school with a distinctive Catholic ethos. Students at the school are very well behaved and the school is a very pleasant working environment.
This is a relatively new post in the support staff structure of the school. This person will work under the direction of the Exams Secretary/Assistant Headteacher KS4. School administration and/or examinations experience would be desirable.
The appointed candidate will be flexible in her/his approach to the wide-range of work undertaken – and will be an intrinsic part of the support staff team. Ofsted
“St Michael’s is an outstanding school. Standards are exceptionally high, amongst the highest found nationally, both at GCSE and A level, and continue to improve. The [then-] headteacher and her deputy provide outstanding leadership. They, very ably supported by the senior leadership team, have a strong vision for the education of girls rooted in the Catholic faith, which contributes so much to the ethos of the school.”
