About the role 

The Examinations Assistant and Access Arrangement Co-ordinator is responsible for assisting with the administration of exams across King Alfred’s Academy, including timetables, invigilation and results. The job holder is also responsible for co-ordinating exam Access Arrangements in line with the JCQ regulations for around 200 students with disabilities and learning difficulties. The role involves liaising with students, parents, staff and exam boards to ensure that students are supported throughout the exam process.

The contract will be for 37 hours for 39 weeks (term time plus inset days) AND 30 hours over two weeks to cover exam results to the start of term However, the seasonal nature of exams means that some flexibility will be necessary, with longer working weeks in the exam season compensated for by shorter weeks at quieter times.

About King Alfred's Academy

King Alfred’s Academy is a mixed, comprehensive, non-denominational secondary school with sixth form situated in Wantage, Oxfordshire. It is an academy converter supported by Vale Academy Trust, a South Oxfordshire multi-academy trust that supports eight other schools in the area.

A larger than average secondary school, King Alfred’s provides 2,205 places for students between the ages of 11 and 18 when fully subscribed. Current number on roll is 1700. The school converted to academy status in August 2011.
