Hours:  36 hours per week / 41 weeks per year (some additional days must be worked around GCSE and A-Level Results Days in August).   It is a condition of the role that the postholder will be flexible with their working hours during the exam periods as required.

Langley Park School for Girls require an experienced, dynamic and ambitious Examinations Officer to start as soon as possible.  We are a thriving and academically successful school.  2019 results were the best ever at both GCSE and A-Level and put LPGS in the top 200 schools in the UK (including selective schools).

LPGS is a calm, friendly and collaborative environment which offers strong staff support.  Our CPD programme gives all teachers time to pursue their own priorities.  This results in a two week October half term.  

This post required a pro-active, well organised and self-motivated person to be responsible for the  management and smooth running of internal and external examinations, and to administer access arrangements.  The role requires the successful candidate to work closely with teaching staff and associate staff to maintain effective running of the centre’s examination system, and to support the school in achieving the best possible outcomes for all students.  Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to relate well to school staff, candidates of all abilities, parents and carers are therefore essential.  Excellent IT skills and a keen eye for detail are required, as well as the ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.  The ideal candidate will have experience in the SIMS data management system and examination processes, although some training and support will be provided.  The successful candidate will also be responsible for assisting in the recruitment and management of a team of Invigilators.
