Job overview

Bohunt Horsham is seeking a self-motivated, adaptable and imaginative individual to fill the role of Examinations Officer.  This position involves taking the lead in managing internal and external examinations at the school. To administer and organise all aspects of external and internal exams and to work with the Headteacher to ensure prompt and accurate submission of results data. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a keen eye for detail and accuracy.  You must be well-organised and calm and be able to work on your own initiative.  You will be expected to work flexibly, independently and proactively to ensure that all aspects of the process are effectively covered.  Experience of exams administration is desirable.

Applicants should be confident, articulate and to enable them to build and maintain mutually respectful relationships with staff, parents and pupils alike is essential.  You will be responsible for a team of invigilators.

During the main exam period, there will be the need for flexibility around working hours to ensure the smooth running of assessments and time in lieu will be available for any times this may take hours over the usual working day.

We are a new free school, in our fifth year since opening with students in Years 7-11 in our brand new building in Horsham, West Sussex. Over the next few years we will grow to become an all-through school for 1620 students aged 4-16, with a nursery facility. We are part of the supportive and innovative Bohunt Education Trust, a MAT with eight schools including two Sixth Forms and a boarding facility.
