Job overview

The Gatwick School is looking for an ambitious, organised and driven Exams & Data Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly improving all through school and shape assessment and how data is used to drive performance.


Working hours:

  • Permanent – 37hrs per week
  • Term time (39 weeks) plus 2 weeks during the holidays (including the day prior to and the actual day of the GCSE National results day)

The role: 

  • To manage all aspects of the examinations process. The Examinations and Data Manager will have excellent administration and communication skills with the ability to supervise a team of invigilators. 
  • Leading the internal and external exams process from start to finish throughout the academic year, engaging and involving all relevant stakeholders.
  • Liaising with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including pupils, parents, staff and awarding organisations.

We are looking for individuals who have: 

  • Experience of working in an educational setting (experience of managing exams desirable but not essential)
  • Strong organisational skills and effective time management
  • Ability to work to challenging deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders
  • Are able to use initiative, be decisive and can communicate professionally with confidence
  • Are highly computer literate, with strong capability in MS Office and management information systems

Opened in 2014, and judged 'Good' by Ofsted in all areas.  The Gatwick School is a state-funded all-through school based in Crawley, West Sussex. Teaching children aged 4-16, the school is non-denominational and mixed gender. Located on Gatwick Road, it is less than a mile from the international airport of the same name.

The school can be accessed on public transport by the Metrobus network, with the Gatwick Road North bus stop situated outside the school. The Gatwick School has a breakfast club and runs OASIS clubs at the end of the day for after-school intellectual stimulation.
