Examinations and Data Officer
WORKING PATTERN: 35 Hours per week (8:00 am - 3:30 pm) term time only plus 10 days. (Some flexibility will be required in exam periods)
SALARY: Grade 6 Points 27-31 (£24,174-£27,668) pro rata £21,233 – £24,302 actual
Do you have a working knowledge of school’s external examinations system? Do you have excellent organization skills and could you lead on the administration of our school’s examination process and assist with the management. You will be located in Didsbury, (often voted as one of the most popular places to live in Manchester) only a short walk from the vibrant shops, bars and restaurants of Didsbury village. You will also have access to excellent transport links to Manchester city centre and surrounding areas.
You will be responsible for the administration of all internal and external examinations, including the recruitment, training and supervision of Invigilators, ensuring that all students are entered for the correct examinations, that examination timetables are created and that the school is fully compliant with all examination board requirements. In addition, outside of the main exam season, you will be expected to assist with data entry and assessment cycle tasks and co-ordination of school census data.
• Experience in the administration of national examinations according to JCQ regulations
• Have knowledge of the national examinations system and Assessment recording and reporting.
• Have excellent IT skills including MS Office, particularly Excel
• Have working knowledge of SIMS or other MIS systems.
• Have the ability to pay attention to detail
• Possess excellent communication skills, being able to communicate with colleagues and students.
• Be able to work to tight deadlines, prioritise workload and keep calm under pressure
• Have the ability to work as part of a team.
• Be pro-active with the ability to act on your own initiative
