We have an exciting opportunity for an Examinations Officer, Clerk to the Management Committee and PA to the Leadership Team
Exams Officer
The work completed by the exams office is fundamental to ensuring candidates have a positive exams experience and achieve results that reflect their effort and abilities
You will have relevant experience in an educational setting and be comfortable liaising with colleagues and students. You will have a high attention to detail and be able to remain calm under pressure, often working to tight deadlines.
There are two key aspects of the exams officer induction process:
1. General induction
gathering information from your centres
learning about the exam system in England and the role of external organisations such as awarding organisations
familiarising yourself with your own exams office and its systems and processes.
2. Time-critical administration - identifying, when you take up your role, where you are in the annual exam cycle, and what tasks need to be done first in order to meet key deadlines.
Clerk to Management Committee
You will also be the clerk to the schools Management Committee, the skills required this element of the post are as follows;
• Understanding governance
• Advice and guidance
• Significant administrative experience and excellent organisational skills
• Excellent IT skills – Word, Outlook, with intermediate to advanced skills in Excel
• Initiative and self-motivation
• Good interpersonal skills and confidence in dealing with outside agencies, parent/carers and members of the public with tact and diplomacy
Candidates must have excellent literacy and numeracy skills, be skilled in the use of ICT, in particular Word, Excel and Progresso. Successful candidates must have the ability to work without supervision and as part of a team.
