About Mary Rose Academy
Mary Rose School is a community special school and specialist Sports College for 120 pupils aged 2-19yrs which opened in September 2006, situated in inner city Portsmouth, Hampshire. The school is an amalgamation of two special schools, Futcher School and East Shore School. We moved into new purpose built accommodation at the end of February 2007.
Mary Rose School caters predominantly for pupils with severe and complex learning disabilities, in addition to their learning disabilities many pupils have additional needs associated with physical disabilities, autistic spectrum disorder and medical conditions. All pupils have a Statement of Special Educational Need and can join the school at any point in their career
