Role: Executive Assistant to Headteacher                             

 Pay Range: WSCC Grade 7 Point 14-19 + Recruitment & Retention payment £6611 + Fringe Allowance £561

Hours of Work: Full Time 37 hours per week. Term-time only plus INSET plus three weeks - there will be a requirement to work the 2nd half of the Summer holiday.

 Actual Salary: £25,825 (pay award pending) inclusive of Recruitment & Retention payment & Fringe allowance

 We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our school to act as the confidential executive assistant to the Headteacher, providing clerical support to the wider Senior Leadership Team which will include organising meetings, minute-taking and producing complex documentation in a timely manner and drafting correspondence in relation to standard requests, etc.

The successful candidate will play a key part in the running of the School. They will be responsible for efficient support to the Headteacher and the Senior Team and the Governing Body. This role will undertake a full range of secretarial and administrative duties and will ensure the efficient and effective running of the Headteacher’s office and daily business.

 This is a key post ensuring support to the Headteacher in promoting the vision, ethos, culture and policies of the school. The image presented will need to reflect the values of the school as expressed in the vision, ethos and underpinning elements. The successful applicants will be well organised, personable, motivated and willing to go the ‘extra mile’.

 You will have experience of working in a dynamic and challenging administrative environment, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information. You will be experienced in working with a wide range of stakeholders and be confident communicating with colleagues across all levels of the organisation with skill and diplomacy. You will have previous experience as an executive assistant/personal assistant to senior management, excellent secretarial and organisational skills and be flexible and able to adapt to the changing needs of the School. A background in events organisation would be advantageous.

Welcome to the Holy Trinity Church of England Secondary School. We are a Voluntary Aided Church school with a rich history and a reputation for excellence.  

The school was opened in 1969 by the Queen and is believed to be the first purpose built Church of England comprehensive school in the country. Today it is an over-subscribed and vibrant multi-faith, multi-cultural school serving three deaneries of Cuckfield, East Grinstead and Horsham, and the community of Crawley, providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice.
