Reporting to the Executive Business Director, and as a key member of the central finance function for the Trust, you will lead on operational aspects of finance procedures & regulations, preparation of monthly management accounts, coordination of HR/Payroll processes, premises management, Health & Safety, and wellbeing.  Key aspects of your role will be providing close support and guidance to school-based staff on all financial matters, facilitating smooth communication channels between your designated schools and central finance so that the schools are reliably supported. The role is offering diversity across both the secondary and primary school sectors.

We welcome applicants with financial skills from both the education sector and other industries and believe that we have the systems in place to support your integration in our friendly, motivated, and focused central finance team.  Ideally you will be educated to AAT level 4 / Level 4 Diploma in School Business Management or demonstrable equivalent experience in another industry sector.  On a personal note, you will have a proven track record of successful management, be an effective team player who can bring solutions and work effectively to meet set deadlines. Experience of PS Financial and HCSS systems is desirable, and we will provide necessary training to enable you to effectively fulfil your role and progress your career.

This is an opportunity to make a difference within a collaborative and forward-thinking team. The role will provide an underlying opportunity to gain valuable practical experience in key areas of financial management that will help further progression towards a formal professional financial qualification.
