Executive Director of Quality and Academic Standards  Full Time (37 hours per week)  Permanent c£50,000 per annum    

This is an exciting opportunity for an inspirational leader to join our leadership team. We are a progressive college and one of the fastest growing in the country; over the past 3 years we have seen an increase in excess of 50 per cent in our core 16-18 numbers to over 3,800 learners, and we now rank as one of the largest providers in the Black Country and West Midlands. We have further plans to develop over the next few years. Our success rates are now well above national averages and we striving to improve further.  The strength of the College was recognised in the recent Black Country Review which confirmed our ambitions and we will continue as a standalone college working with partners.   

You will have a key role in driving further quality improvement and standards. The role goes beyond traditional quality assurance and will play a key role in intervention to improve our quality and play a broader role in management of the college. You will work as part of our current Senior Leadership Team in driving the college’s strategic plans towards successful outcomes.  You will have the ability to develop positive rapport and manage staff at all levels of the college in order to motivate and encourage the support of outstanding performance.  You will take a proactive approach in data monitoring and analysis to identify and implement improvements in teaching and learning in order to maximise student success via thorough evaluation of the full learner journey.  

You will also develop and maintain partnerships with a range of Further Education and Higher Education institutions and have the ability to carry out standardisations/external benchmarking activities. You will develop improvement strategies and as appropriate intervene to ensure implementation. You will hold a full teaching qualification and be able to showcase demonstrable significant successful experience of the management and delivery of the quality of A-Level and Vocational provision.
