Job overview

Are you a remarkable leader who wants more?

more opportunity to inspire remarkable practice across more schools... more children inspired to choose a REMARKABLE LIFE.

We are a family of schools brought together by one common vision and passionate belief that each and every child can lead a remarkable life. An excellent education transforms lives and every pupil who attends one of our schools is given the support, care and opportunity they need to flourish. Which is where you come in.

You are someone who knows how to make an immediate difference in challenging contexts. Someone who wants to help us to develop and grow, someone who will put remarkable lives at the heart of everything you do.

As the Secondary Executive Director for Essex you will be responsible for between three and six secondary schools, leading the headteachers and inspiring each and every child to choose a remarkable life.

You will be joining the leading inclusive educational trust in the country - one where you have more opportunities to forge your own path, where your work is truly valued and where you will receive the recognition and rewards to motivate you to build on your achievements.

In the first instance, we would encourage informal discussion with our retained consultants, please contact Emily Fryer, on (0) 118 9359 444 or Emily.Fryer@spencergroup.com to find out more.

About Academies Enterprise Trust

**Please scroll to the bottom of this page to view our live vacancies**

AET was established in 2008 and is now a national network of 57 primary, secondary and special academies. We are proud of our diverse and inclusive network of schools which span nearly every region in the country.

This is a hugely exciting time to be joining the organisation, and as we pivot from being in turnaround mode to becoming a high performance organisation on the pathway to sustainable excellence. This will see us building our in-house education improvement capacity and expertise, making sure that our schools have all the support they need to deliver an excellent education for every child, every day.

Our people are our single greatest resource and we want to make sure we are creating the optimum environment and conditions so that everyone in AET can do their very best work. We will only deliver on our promise of excellence for all of our children if we attract, develop and retain the very best talent in the country and surround them with exceptional development throughout their careers.

We want people on our team who are excited by scale and the prospect of having a deep and lasting impact on the lives of tens of thousands of children. We also want people who are intellectually rigorous, stay curious, and generous enough to be committed to the messy challenge of collaboration.

AET has an exciting future ahead and by joining us on this journey, you will have an unparalleled opportunity to make a lasting and meaningful impact on the children and young people in our schools.

Please note that you are wholly responsible for fact checking in respect of the information provided by schools. Please also check for the latest visa and work permit requirements that may apply.
