Job Reference: FAHAIA

Closing Date: Wednesday 22nd January 2020

Salary: Competitive

Location: London

An ambitious, growing Schools Trust is seeking an inspirational leader to further its work, providing outstanding education to a diverse community of students, and proactively identifying ways in which it might develop.

Heartlands Community Trust educated more than a thousand students across its two sites, Heartlands High School and The Grove, in Haringey. The Grove, a specialist all through school catering for those with a primary diagnosis of Autism, opened in 2018 and this year moved to a spacious new site. Heartlands High School, having initially been established as a Community School, before becoming an academy, offers mainstream education for 11-16 year olds. Both schools enjoy outstanding facilities and have a supportive ethos which ensures that students achieve their full potential. Heartlands Community Trust believes in setting high standards and prides itself on the quality of the education it provides.

The next Executive Headteacher will provide overall leadership to the Trust, furthering and developing its strategic objectives, including growth, and empowering the individual School Heads to deliver best-in-class education within their respective contexts. This is a broad, challenging role, which requires the post holder to articulate a vision for the future, accounting for the range of audiences critical to the Trust and deliver on the overarching promise to transform the lives of young people through education.

The successful candidate will be a outstanding strategic education leader, with a track record of delivering improved outcomes in challenging circumstances. They will be excited by the opportunities presented by a Trust environment and keen to promote the sharing of best practice across schools. Candidates will most likely be existing Heads and bring impressive academic and professional credentials alongside experience of working in an environment similar to the Trust. The Executive Headteacher will be committed to safeguarding and the promotion of the welfare of children. The Trust apply safer recruitment processes to all posts, including the disclosure of criminal records and vetting checks.
