Executive Headteacher – On the retirement of our current Executive Headteacher, the Governors, staff and children of The Federation of St. Joseph’s Catholic Schools are seeking to appoint an inspirational leader who has the vision and skills to further develop the effectiveness of our federation and build on the successes of our popular schools, joining us for April 2018 or sooner if possible.
The Executive Headteacher will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, vision and management as well as fulfilling the statutory duties within the Hard Federation, comprising of St Joseph's Catholic Primary School Barking and St Joseph's Catholic Primary School Dagenham.
Both schools currently rated good have happy learners, eager to achieve, with motivated and enthusiastic teams. To build on our successes we are looking for a strong leader who is resourceful and caring and who can bring along continued improvements, building our federation whilst still retaining the unique characteristics at each school.
Our schools have shared Catholic values and a vision which we use to help us achieve the high standards to which we aspire.
As a federation, we have worked closely with all stakeholders to agree our Vision.
Our schools are looking for someone who can provide visionary and creative leadership providing opportunities for progress towards excellent outcomes through effective use of resources and working as part of a larger team, with shared goals.
We look forward to meeting candidates who can provide:
- Leadership experience, as a head or head of school in past roles
- Create and maintain a productive learning environment which is engaging and fulfilling for all members of the school community
- Fosters the continuous improvement and quality of education offered by each school.
- Preserves and develops the Catholic ethos for both schools
Both St. Joseph’s have been graded as good schools situated close to good transport links. Our pupils are hard-working and have exemplary behaviour. This is an exciting opportunity to join our popular school.
Visits to the school are warmly welcomed; please contact Mrs Julie Pearman on the above number to arrange a convenient date (please note all applications must be made on the CES application form).
Closing date for applications: Noon 25.9.17
