The children, staff, parents/carers and governors are looking for an enthusiastic, strategic and dynamic leader who would welcome the unique opportunity to shape the future partnership between Kirkby Malzeard C of E Primary School and St. Nicholas C of E Primary School. 

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead an existing, successful Collaboration of 6 years, that is now looking to move towards a Federation.  A Federation that, with a team of committed and experienced staff and a passion for learning, will deliver aspirational outcomes for all children.

We are looking for an individual who can:

• provide strong, clear leadership that will inspire and raise the aspiration of pupils and staff; building upon existing relationships.
• value individuals in a child-centred, caring and Christian environment.
• demonstrate evidence-based decision-making that encourages learners to reflect and achieve their best.
• build effective teams across two schools. 
• be forward-looking and progressive; recognising and identifying opportunities for growth as a partnership.

You will be supported by a team that is dedicated to securing the best possible outcomes for all children.

Both schools are situated in thriving, picturesque villages in the beautiful North Yorkshire countryside; are within 15 minutes of each other and provide easy access to Ripon, Harrogate and York.  The schools benefit from excellent outdoor facilities, including: large outdoor fields, wildlife areas and newly installed timber trails.  These facilities enable the children to benefit from a wide variety of extracurricular opportunities, such as: eco-school, gardening, Forest Schools and Kirkby in Bloom.

We have a shared ethos of encouraging the children to be independent, creative, engaged, active learners, with a strong voice and sense of community through: reading ambassadors, school ambassadors, school council, librarians, eco-leaders, captains, buddies and Messy Church. 

Further to recent re investment, Kirkby Malzeard C of E School opened two new classrooms in the Autumn Term and redevelopment of the car park is due in the summer.  St Nicholas has secured a Montessori Pre School that resides in the school building.  Both schools are currently rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted.
